Current commission rates for books
According to the Amazon.ca Associates Program Standard Commission Income Statement, physical books earn a fixed commission rate of 5.50% of qualifying revenue.
For a book priced at approximately $24.99 CAD, this translates to roughly $1.37 per sale through your affiliate link.

How to get started
To sign up for the Amazon Associates program, visit the Amazon Associates website (associates.amazon.ca) and create an account. You'll need to provide information about your website or platform and your payment details.
Step-by-step process:
- Visit associates.amazon.ca and click "Sign Up"
- Provide information about your website, blog, YouTube channel, or social media platform
- Complete your profile and payment information
- Generate your unique affiliate link to Selling Your Canadian Business using Amazon's link-building tools
- Share your link in your content, and earn commissions on qualifying purchases
After your application is approved, you must refer at least three legitimate sales within 180 days to retain your membership.
